Mitch Marner is a pending UFA at the end of the season, and there's been no word of an extension between himself and the Maple Leafs, could this be a perfect situation for the Bruins to swoop in and trade for him?

Mitch Marner and the Toronto Maple Leafs have seemed like a match made in heaven until recently.
He's gotten a lot of heat from the Toronto faithful as they have cast doubt on his abilities, which we saw last season.
That resulted in some hurt feelings, and Marner would put his head down and play the rest of the year without much hullabaloo.
Now, after playing on Team Canada with his rival Brad Marchand, they've seemed to bond in a new-found friendship.
With news of the Maple Leafs being interested in a Bruins depth forward, give them a pretext to ask about Marner.
We know that Marchand can speak smoothly and use his words that could sidestep tampering allegations but sell Marner on wearing a spoked-B.
There's never been a season of Marner's where he's scored below 60 points in the NHL.
Last season he put up 26 goals, and 85 points in 69 games played with the Maple Leafs.
An over a point-per-game player!
Marner's $10.9 million AAV deal expires at the end of the season, and his next contract could be too rich for Brad Treliving's liking.
This could be a moment for Sweeney to step in, and bring in a third team to make a deal happen for Marner, with Marchand's help.
Imagine how electric the top-six in Boston would be with him here?
