After the Boston Bruins ended up announcing their second round of roster cuts yesterday, it was revealed that five players have been given one last chance to make the opening night roster.

Marco Sturm and Don Sweeney had some tough decisions to make yesterday, and ended up cutting 9 players.
Five of them were placed on waivers, while the other four were sent directly to the Providence Bruins in the American Hockey League.
Here is the full list:
Patrick Brown, Michael Callahan, Georgii Merkulov, Victor Soderstrom and Riley Tufte on waivers.

Frederic Brunet, Riley Duran, Brett Harrison and Fabian Lysell to report to Providence.
After announcing this, it was revealed that five players were given one last chance to make an impression on Marco Sturm and upper management to make the NHL roster.

One last chance for these five players

Entering today's final preseason game against the New York Rangers, Alex Steeves John Beecher, Fraser Minten, Matt Poitras, and Marat Khusnutdinov all have one last chance to make an impression on the coaching staff.
looks like Steeves, Beecher, Minten, Poitras & Khusnutdinov live to fight another day.
Marco Sturm spoke on Fraser Minten's game, and has been surprised at how good he is, making him a top candidate to crack the Bruins roster.
Marco Sturm on Fraser Minten:

"I like what I've seen so far, I really do. Maybe he's the one guy, he surprised me in a positive way."

"He is very reliable for me, what he has shown in the past, how he is off the ice. He is more like a man already than a little kid."
The Bruins and Rangers faceoff at 2 p.m. ET for the final preseason game of the year, and there is a lot on the line for these five players.
