The Boston Bruins have already decided Joonas Korpisalo's fate with the team just days after acquiring him.

The other day we saw the Boston Bruins officially trade Linus Ullmark to the Ottawa Senators in exchange for Joonas Korpisalo (25% retained), Mark Kastelic and their 25th overall first-round pick.

Many fans were not happy with Don Sweeney, as they originally traded Ullmark to clear cap space, but only cleared $1 million after the deal was said and done.

Ullmark had one-year left at $5 million and now the Bruins have to pay Korpisalo $3 million for the next four-years.

Korpisalo was not good for the Ottawa Senators, and many speculated that the Bruins were going to try and dump him to another team, but the Bruins have confirmed what they are going to do with him.

According to Fluto Shinzawa a well known insider for the Boston Bruins, they do not intend to trade him and want to try and develop him and make him better.

The Bruins do a really good job at developing goaltenders, and the plan is to try and do that with Korpisalo. If you are a Bruins fan you just hope that the Bruins can make something out of Korpisalo or else this trade looks horrible for Don Sweeney.
