Troubling Update Has Been Provided Regarding Boston Bruins Forward As He's Set To Miss Significant Time

Recently, Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced that Hampus Lindholm was going to miss the rest of the year after suffering a fractured patella.

Following the news of Lindholm missing the remainder of the year with the fractured patella, there has been some speculation that it may be a career ending injury for the Bruins defenseman.

The Bruins also just lost McAvoy again, as he got injured during the 4 Nations tournament. Bruins doctor, Dr. Peter Asnis revealed that McAvoy suffered an injury to his right should acromicolavicular joint during Team USA's first game against Finland on February 13th.

Now the Boston Bruins have lost another player at a pivotal time in the year as they are trying to fight for a playoff spot.

In the Bruins last game against the Toronto Maple Leafs, Trent Frederic would end up leaving the game in the second period.

Frederic went for a hit on Leafs defenseman Jake McCabe, and got the brunt end of it leaving him on the ice clearly in pain.

It was reported that Frederic was laboring on the bench before he would end up going down the tunnel to the dressing room, and would not return to the game.

Today, NHL insider Chris Johnston revealed that he is being labeled as week-to-week and is expected to miss some significant time.

With the NHL trade deadline right around the corner it will be interesting to see how this pans out and if Frederic still gets moved or not.
