After a tough first year in Boston, veteran Nick Foligno has bounced back in a big way, on and off the ice for this season.

Foligno's leadership has shone bright throughout this historic run for the Bruins, and that was never more evident than his recent gesture toward new addition Tyler Bertuzzi.

According to Nick Melanson of the Something's Bruin Podcast shared that Bertuzzi shared the story after Saturday's 4-2 win over the New York Rangers.

As per Melanson:

''Tyler Bertuzzi just said that Nick Foligno picked him up and drove him to the rink yesterday to meet everyone.''

After the trade, Bertuzzi didn't arrive in Boston until 8:30 pm EST, so he missed the Bruins record-setting 7-1 win over the Buffalo Sabres.

Bertuzzi noted that he and Foligno were already acquainted beforehand, as both we from Sudbury, Ontario.

He also shared that Brad Marchand and captain Patrice Bergeron were the first ones to call him after the trade.
