The Boston Bruins made a depth move on Tuesday when they traded for defenseman Nick Holden of the New YorkRangers.
The move should be looked at as simply a depth move as the Bruins might not be ready to commit to Torey Krug on the second defensive pairing and Matt Grzelcyk on the third. Many have speculated the B's would prefer to have Krug on the third pairing.
With that in mind, NHL insider Elliotte Friedman believes the Bruins might not be done acquiring defenseman from the Rangers.
According to Friedman in his latest edition of "31 Thoughts", the Bruins are still interested in landing Ryan McDonagh before Monday.
The only thing stopping them right now is that general manager Don Sweeney still isn't sure if he's ready to pay up. The deal would likely include Brandon Carlo or Jake DeBrusk along with some other pieces to land the 28 year old defenseman.
Do you think that the Bruins should still push for McDonagh or should they concentrate adding some depth up front now?
