Bruins organization makes mid-playoff surprise signing

The Providence Bruins, the AHL affiliate of the Boston Bruins, made a surprising move by signing defenseman Quinn Wichers to a professional tryout (PTO) contract.

Wichers, who previously served as the captain of Mercyhurst University's hockey team, played for the Utah Grizzlies in the ECHL earlier this season.

This unexpected signing adds depth to the Providence Bruins' defensive lineup and gives Wichers an opportunity to showcase his skills at the AHL level.
