The former Stanley Cup Champions have made a major signing, that Bruins fans will hate.

Boston Bruins will lose Jesper Boqvist, a depth forward to the Florida Panthers and will see him in Panthers colors 4-times this season.

GM Bill Zito has decided he saw something that he liked in the depth forward and sign Boqvist to a one-year term with the team.

Jesper Boqvist signs with the Panthers.

Boqvist played 47 games with the Bruins during the 2023-2024 NHL season, scoring 14 points( 6 G, 8 A) and played 31 games in AHL in Providence scoring 23 points( 10 G, 13 A).
The Falun, Sweden born forward has played in 236 NHL games between the New Jersey Devils and Boston Bruins, while scoring 69 points(34 G, 35 A) and reached a career-high 10 goals in 2021-2022 and 2022-2023.
Jesper is a skilled, dynamic forward with a strong skating ability,» said Zito. «His addition adds to our depth for the upcoming season.»

Boqvist was selected by the New Jersey Devils 36th overall in the 2nd round of the 2017 NHL Draft.
