Boston Bruins Expected To Complete A Roster Transaction Following Their Game
A Boston Bruins insider revealed that the Boston Bruins may be completing a roster transaction right after their game against the Vegas Golden Knights involving Matt Poitras.
The past couple of days there has been some speculation that the Boston Bruins are going to be reassigning Matt Poitras back down to the Providence Bruins in the American Hockey League while the NHL is on their break for the Four Nations Faceoff Tournament.
The idea behind this would just to get Poitras more reps while the NHL is on a break, and be able to build on his game and work on his confidence which could help him in the second half of the season.
He's 20 years old and needs the ice time Playing in the AHL rather than him sitting at home is the way to go here and will only benefit him in the long run #NHLBruins
A Bruins insider revealed the Bruins are expected to make a roster transaction with Matt Poitras
Today, a Bruins insider revealed that if the Boston Bruins want to send him to Providence while the NHL is on their break, they would have to do it today following the game.
It was also revealed that if Poitras is sent back down to the Providence Bruins following their game, he would need to clear waivers, as Michael Callahan is the only Bruin that would not require waivers.
Mike Callahan would be the only other player who could go down without waivers.
