Although the Ottawa Senators have not yet been publicly sold, per Ottawa Senators insider Bruce Garrioch, Andlauer is one step closer to closing a deal.
According to the report, Andlauer met with the NHL's executive committee, which is led by Gary Bettman and includes deputy commissioner Bill Daly, as well as several NHL team owners, including Winnipeg Jets owner Mark Chipman, Montreal Canadiens owner Geoff Molson, Boston Bruins owner Jeremy Jacobs, Minnesota Wild owner Craig Leopold, Washington Capitals owner Ted Leonsis, Anaheim Ducks owner Henry Samueli, Maple Leafs owner Larry Tanenbaum, and Tampa Bay Lightning owner
There was no doubt that Andlauer would be the one to buy the Ottawa Senators who already has extensive ties to the National Hockey League through his association with the Montreal Canadiens as a minority owner, so all things should be smooth sailing from here.
