If the Boston Bruins do end up having to retool the lineup, not many shall be spared it seems, as Brandon Carlo could be moved as well, what could the Bruins receive in return for the top-four defenseman?

The Boston Bruins need to retool the lineup if they happen to miss the 2025 Stanley Cup playoffs.
The Bruins as a team hasn't missed the playoffs since 2016 when GM Don Sweeney took over the organization and has attempted to build a Stanley Cup-winning roster.
A feat not yet accomplished by this core, despite their attempt in 2019 which was put down by the St. Louis Blues.
Now, the Bruins will have to consider their next moves with Brandon Carlo who has generated interest from suitors across the league.
One of them is their rivals the Toronto Maple Leafs.
With news of the Ryan Lindgren trade in which the Rangers received a 2nd-round pick for the "warrior", it doesn't seem out of the question if the Bruins could get a similar pick in return.
While he may be more of a third-pairing guy on any contending team in the league, GMs from these organizations will have to unload their caches to ensure their roster is solid enough to make it through the tough parts of the playoffs.
During ABC's broadcast of the Boston Bruins' Feb. 8 contest against the Vegas Golden Knights, Emily Kaplan reported that the Original Six club has received "a bunch of calls" on Brandon Carlo, Morgan Geekie, and Trent Frederic.

A purpose shutdown defenseman like Carlo could hold up very well, considering all the post-season action he's seen with the Bruins.
This season with the Bruins he's scored 9 points (1 G, 8 A) in 59 contests.
He'd come to his next team with a cap hit of $4.1 million AAV should Don Sweeney refuse to retain any percentage of his salary for a trade.
