Just moments before puck drop against the Minnesota Wild, multiple reports confirmed that a captaincy change took place for the Boston Bruins.
It was reported that Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand would not be dressing for their game today against the Wild, and Joe Sacco revealed that Georgii Merkulov will finally get a solid chance as he would be taking his spot in the lineup.
Sacco also stated that there is no update right now on Brad Marchand, and that he will be reevaluated on Monday when the Bruins get back to Boston. Although Marchand did make the trip with the team today to Minnesota.

Bruins Make A Captaincy Change
With Brad Marchand being out of the lineup, because he has the 'C' the Bruins announced that Brandon Carlo would be wearing an 'A', and the Bruins would rock three alternate captains.
The other two players wearing the 'A' on their chest is David Pastrnak and Charlie Coyle.
With the 'C' out, Brandon Carlo gets the third 'A' alongside David Pastrnak and Charlie Coyle.
The Bruins are hopeful that Brad Marchand's injury is not long-term and he can return to the lineup soon.
