Today, the New York Rangers organization announced that another trade is in the works, and this time it's regarding a former Boston Bruins fan favourite.

Yesterday, the New York Rangers ended up completing a trade with the Colorado Avalanche that saw Jimmy Vesey and Ryan Lindgren head to the Avalanche organization.
Now the New York Rangers are gearing up to make another trade, as veteran forward Reilly Smith is going to be held out of the lineup tonight for roster management reasonings according to multiple insiders.

Reilly Smith involved in trade talks this season

Reilly Smith has been involved in a lot of trade conversations since going to the New York Rangers, as he hasn't been a good fit for the team, and it looks like a deal is finally set to materialize.
Some reports have revealed that Smith could be having a reunion with a former team as the Vegas Golden Knights have expressed interest in bringing him back.
Reilly Smith ended up winning a Stanley Cup with the Vegas Golden Knights back in 2023.
Smith is having a down year with the New York Rangers this year as he has just 10 goals, 19 assists for 29 points in 58 games.
The March 7th NHL trade deadline is only five days away, and it will be interesting to see where the former Boston Bruins forward ends up.
