Brad Marchand's status for today's game vs the Minnesota Wild was uncertain after suffering an upper-body injury yesterday against the Pittsburgh Penguins, but head coach Joe Sacco just confirmed it.

Last night, Marchand went for a lose puck in the corner when he unfortunately lost his balance as P.O. Joesph was going for a hit.
Joesph tried to pull up, but was already in motion, and unfortunately Brad Marchand got the bad end of it.
Marchand would end up leaving the game, and the Bruins confirmed that he would not return.
UPDATE: Brad Marchand (upper-body) is unlikely to return to today's game.
Now Boston Bruins head coach just confirmed whether or not he will be playing today as the Bruins play another big game.

Joe Sacco Confirmed It For Brad Marchand

A lot of fans were worried about Brad Marchand's health, and for the right reasons as he laid motionless on the ice with the Bruins trainer for awhile before requiring assistance to get to the bench.
Marchand down for a long time. Joseph got his stick in Marchand's skates for a can-opener, and then finished the hit into the boards with Marchand going down in an awkward position.
Just before puck drop, Joe Sacco stated that Brad Marchand will not play today, but the good news is that he made the trip to Minnesota with the team.
Sacco stated that Marchand is going to be reevaluated on Monday, and Georgii Merkulov is going to take his spot on the top line.
Brad Marchand (upper body) is out for today's game against the Wild. The captain did make the trip here from Pittsburgh and will be reevaluated Monday. Georgii Merkulov takes Marchand's wing spot with Elias Lindholm and Charlie Coyle. #Bruins
The Boston Bruins are now in a tough spot as they are down Brad Marchand, Trent Frederic, Charlie McAvoy, and Hampus Lindholm.
Hopefully the youth the Bruins injected into their lineup can step up in these players absences.
