Teammates Praise Bergeron After Season-Ending Loss on Sunday
As speculation of Patrice Bergeron's retirement arises, his Bruins' teammates shared their praise for their captain after the game seven loss.
Well Deserved Respect
Nobody knows Bergeron more than Brad Marchand, as the two have been linemates and best friends since 2010.
Marchand not only praised Bergeron's on-ice ability but also the way the lifetime Bruin has moulded a winning culture in Boston's dressing room.
''He allowed me to be in this position to play alongside him for a long time, and he's an incredible person and friend, an incredible teammate, and we've been lucky to have him as part of this group for a long time.''

Goaltender Jeremy Swayman also shared how much Bergeron has impacted him in the two full NHL seasons he has under his belt. Like Marchand, he eluded more to the captain's character than hockey.
I wonder if Bergeron told his teammates this was his last season or not, which actually could be a reason for the team success (during the regular season). It would also explain why his teammates got emotional talking about their captain, as well - even though it was a tough loss.
It could be a long summer for Bruins fans, as we'll once again be waiting to know the future of Patrice Bergeron.
