The Boston Bruins Have Released A Statement
The Boston Bruins have announced the upcoming sixth annual Girls Hockey Day, sponsored by Wasabi Technologies, scheduled for Friday, March 15 at TD Garden.
This event, established in 2017, aims to foster the growth of girls' hockey, promote participation, and celebrate the athletes involved.
Participants from across New England, spanning all ages and skill levels, will engage in various activities throughout the day, including one-hour clinics from 4-9 p.m., featuring Learn to Play public skates and skills sessions.
Select players from this year's Women's Beanpot will join Bruins youth hockey staff to volunteer at the event.
Additionally, Bruins alumni and NESN host Andrew Raycroft will lead a clinic with high school skaters, followed by a session with members of the South Shore Women's Hockey League.
Wasabi Technologies has generously donated $10,000 to Everyone's a Player, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing sports opportunities for youth in underserved communities. A ceremonial check presentation will take place at 5:20 p.m.
