Sidney Crosby Reveals The Interesting Reason He Passed The 4 Nations Trophy To Boston Bruins Brad Marchand
Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand had the honour of receiving the 4 Nations trophy from captain Sidney Crosby, and now Crosby has revealed why he passed it to him.
There was a lot of hype that was going around leading up to the 4 Nations Face-Off final and a lot of trash talking between players on Team Canada and Team USA.
Most of the trash talking was the Tkachuk brothers and Brandon Hagel going back and forth.
It all started when the Tkachuk brothers revealed that they had a group chat going with J.T. Miller about wanting to send a message to Team Canada in their first meeting, which lead to three fights in the first nine seconds of their first game.
Brandon Hagel then went on to say that him, and Team Canada did not do it for the cameras like USA did, but instead did it for the flag of their country.
After the final game, Hagel fired some more shots at the Tkachuk brothers on social media by sharing a photo of a Maple Leaf with a group chat called 'Champs'.
All this trash talking made the final game that much better, and team Canada came out on top this time.
Crosby Reveals Why He Passed The Trophy To Brad Marchand
After the MVP's of the game and tournament were announced, Sidney Crosby being the captain was invited over to grab the trophy.
He hoisted the trophy and then went on to pass it to no one other than Brad Marchand.
Now he has revealed why he decided to hand it to Brad Marchand over the likes of Connor McDavid who scored the OT winning goal, or Nathan MacKinnon who was the MVP of the tournament.
"We were in Boston, he was an older guy... Him being in his home building here, and being right next to me worked out well."
What an honour it must have been for Brad Marchand to receive the trophy from captain Sidney Crosby.
