Team Canada has beaten Team USA 3-2 in overtime to win the first ever Four Nations Face-Off championship.

The last time the two teams met it was a classic and the United States took it 3-1. This time, Canada got their revenge and won the championship.

Team Canada faced a lot of adversity this tournament as they went to overtime with Sweden in their first game, lost to USA, and then won a must-win game against Finland.

Canada's star, Connor McDavid, really heated up at the right time as he scored first in both the game against the USA and Finland to get Canada going after not scoring against Sweden in the first Four Nations game, and he did the same tonight scoring the game winning goal.

Nathan MacKinnon also scored two goals against Finland to help secure a spot in the championship game, and then went on to score the first goal tonight for Team Canada.

Both MacKinnon and McDavid used their blistering speed to their advantage, and with the core around them both, it's no question Canada bounced back against the USA and took round two of the neighboring country rivalry.

This was more than a game tonight, this was about pride, and Canada showed that it is still their game.

Now, eyes turn to Milan in 2026, as another world hockey tournament will take place at the Winter Olympics.
