Are the Boston Bruins about to make a deal? Multiple team scouts have been seen viewing the Providence Bruins game the other day.

Only a month ago, it was reported by President Cam Neely that the team would have to retool the lineup.

«We'll see where we're at,» Bruins president Cam Neely said Wednesday of the team's approach to the trade deadline. «I think right now, we've got to look at two paths: one that we're buying and one that we may be retooling a little bit.

«We still feel like we've got a playoff team here and we certainly don't want to jeopardize getting out of the playoffs because we made some moves that may be good for the future, but not good for the present.»

Could we see the start of trades with the Bruins involved begin, as scouts from Edmonton, San Jose, Los Angeles, Dallas, and Winnipeg were seen at the Providence Bruins game?

The Bruins according to MoneyPuck's model at the moment only have a 14.9% chance of making the NHL playoffs this season.

They'll likely have to make a move in order to bolster a lineup that's failed to deliver a promise of being competitive in the NHL.

Under Head Coach Joe Sacco, the team has a record of 27-24-6 and is 6th in the Atlantic Division.

Names that have surfaced as trade pieces are Morgan Geekie, Justin Brazeau, Trent Frederic, and Captain Brad Marchand.

Could these teams be scouting Fabian Lysell, or Georgii Merkulov as potential pieces to move in a complex deal?

They'd have to be a part of something bigger in order to shore up a Bruins lineup that is seriously underperforming in 2025.

Considering the prospect pipeline is fairly thin as is, you'd think that Mason Lohrei would be available as well.

Either way, more as the story develops.

Do you think that forward Fabian Lysell, or forward Georgii Merklulov will be traded by the Boston Bruins?
