More Troubling News Strikes Team USA Ahead Of Championship Game Vs Team Canada
With their 5-3 win over Team Finland last night, Team Canada earned their spot in the championship game and got the rematch they were looking for against Team USA after losing the first game to them 3-1 on Saturday night.
Since then, Team USA has faced some troubling injury news ahead of the championship game against Team Canada and it's not looking good.
Matthew Tkachuk was injured in Team USA's first game vs Team Canada, and was held out of their game vs Team Sweden because of it, but the injuries don't end there.

Since then it has been revealed that Charlie McAvoy was held out as well due to an upper-body injury, and later on, Team USA revealed that McAvoy was admitted to Mass. General Hospital in the Boston area.
Before the game between USA, and Sweden took place last night, USA's head coach Mike Sullivan revealed that Auston Matthews was being held out for precautionary reasons.
Elliotte Friedman revealed that Auston Matthews is also dealing with an upper-body injury just like Charlie McAvoy.
During the game Brady Tkachuk and Vincent Trocheck were both injured for Team USA.

Vincent Trocheck was back on the ice for the third period, but Brady Tkachuk did not return to the game, and Mike Sullivan revealed that it was due to precautionary reasons as well.
USA is now preparing for the championship game against Team Canada that is set to take place on Thursday. It will be interesting to see if any of these injured players will be in the lineup or not.
