Players like Brad Marchand, Trent Frederic, Brandon Carlo, Morgan Geekie and Justin Brazeau have all been linked to trade rumours this year.
With that being said, The Hockey News has listed three players unexpected players the bruins could trade at the March 7th NHL trade deadline.
Big right-shot defenseman normally get a big return from NHL teams as they are hard to come by, making Andrew Peeke a likely candidate to be traded. The 6-foot-3 defenseman could be a nice addition to a contenders roster who is looking to improve their depth on the right side.
Peeke has appeared in 51 games and has just one goal, 13 points but has 55 hits, and 81 blocks. Another appealing aspect of him is that he is signed until next year with a cap hit of $2.75 million.
With good defenseman to come by, contenders are always looking to improve their defensive group and Parker Wotherspoon could generate some interest. Wotherspoon only has a cap hit of $800,000 which is team friendly, and plays a solid game on both sides of the puck making him very appealing.
Koepke is another interesting one, he is a pending UFA, and has a cap friendly deal at just $775,000. This season Koepke has been a solid depth player for the Bruins and could do the same for another contender if the Bruins trade him at the deadline.
He has shown that he can be an impactful fourth-line player providing his team energy and brings a lot of physicality. Koepke has appeared in 49 games this season and has seven goals, 12 points along with 105 hits.
