Despite scoring first once again, the Boston Bruins lost to the Philadelphia Flyers last night 3-2 in overtime.
Head coach Bruce Cassidy was not at all happy with his team's defensive effort last night.
"Well that's the first problem, right?"
Especially when it comes to the team's captain Zdeno Chara.
"He's the captain of the team," Cassidy said, "He won aStanley Cuphere by being a defensive stalwart."
"We'll have a conversation about it, but he's the leader back there," he continued. "Got to get Charlie to buy in, got to get Carlo...he has, and that has to continue."
Chara wasn't hiding it either, admitting the team's blueline needs to step up.
"I think defensively, we have to be better," he said. "Especially this time of year...everybody is improving their game. I think we have to make sure we tighten up."
