Some game changing news has surfaced ahead of the Boston Bruins and Minnesota Wild game as a key player is confirmed to be returning from LTIR.

The Boston Bruins and Minnesota Wild are set to face off for the first time against each other this year, and some game changing injury news has just surfaced.

A key player was activated from LTIR

PuckPedia has revealed that the Minnesota Wild are going to be getting a key player back tonight.

It was confirmed that Wild defenseman Jonas Brodin has been activated off of LTIR today, and will in fact be in the lineup for the Wild tonight.

The #MNWild activated Brodin from LTIR & sent Ben Jones down.

This puts them under cap, so they could activate Kaprizov from LTIR without additional roster moves.
If they go back over the cap to utilize Kaprizov's LTIR, they have $9M of space.

Brodin is a solid shutdown defenseman that logs a lot of ice time per game, and can produce offensively as well. Brodin has appeared in 31 games for the Minnesota Wild this year and has 4 goals, 12 assists for 16 points while averaging 23:13 of ice time per game.

Unfortunately for the Boston Bruins, they aren't expected to get Hampus Lindholm back until after the Four Nations Faceoff tournament, but they did get some good news today as well.

It was confirmed that forward Mark Kastelic will return to the Boston Bruins lineup after missing their past 6 games due to being in concussion protocol.

Kastelic has been out of the Bruins lineup since January 21st, when the team announced they have placed him on Injury Reserved.
