The Boston Bruins and general manager Don Sweeney had one of the busiest trade deadlines the organization has witnessed in years, which saw a lot of players unhappy - but a bright side, despite all the departures is that there's fresh faces excited to be apart of the organization.
There has been several
Brad Marchand trade rumors circulating through the website the Boston Bruins decided to part ways with their longtime fan favourite forward at the NHL trade deadline, and many are contradicting to one-another.
Multiple state that the Bruins pushed Marchand out of the organization with a low-ball offer by general manager Don Sweeney, where others state he wanted a fresh start in a new city.
Despite these rumours, it's unfortunately time for Bruins fans to move on from the Marchand era and focus on new faces, who want to wear the B on their chest with pride.
Bruins newest acquisition on defense ecstatic to be apart of the organization
While many took the leap to leave the Bruins during their fire sale, some are beyond thankful to be playing for the organization still and one player revealed he specifically asked for a
trade from his organization.
Henri Jokiharju on being traded to the #NHLBruins : "I'm really excited to join the group and love to be here...played with [Mittelstadt] for a long time in Buffalo...and Korpisalo, Finnish guy, always great to have a Finnish guy on your team...just try to help the team win."
The Sabres are in quite the rough spot at the moment, but not as bad as the Bruins following their completion of moves at the 2025 March 7 trade deadline.
The current state of the organization in Boston isn't scaring players away, as it shouldn't.
The Bruins are one of the most storied NHL franchises apart of the 'Original 6', and the newest Bruin certainly took note of that.
«New #NHLBruins defender Henri Jokiharju told the media today he asked for a trade from Buffalo.»
While it's unfortunate to see players abandon ship and jump overboard at the deadline, it'll be exciting to see fresh faces who want to represent the historic franchise, and who care moving forward.
