The Boston Bruins, Edmonton Oilers and New Jersey Devils teamed up for a 3-team deal on Tuesday that caught everybody off guard, including majority of the Bruins' fan base. Just one day after being traded, Trent Frederic has spoken out regarding the trade and appears thrilled to be out of Boston.

General manager Don Sweeney kicked off the fire sale on Tuesday by trading away a 27-year old Trent Frederic.
The Bruins updated lineup now appears with multiple holes in it with the absence of captain Brad Marchand, and Frederic's departure.
Although Frederic has a somewhat successful time in a Bruins jersey, he appears thrilled to depart from the organization.

Frederic issues first statement as a member of the Edmonton Oilers following 3-team blockbuster

Frederic noted that he's 'glad' to be out of the Bruins organization and have his name on the back of an Oilers jersey in his first interview in Edmonton, alongside several other comments:
"My brother was pushing, saying how cool it'd be for me to go to Edmonton," said Frederic, who tallied eight goals and seven assists in 57 games with Boston this season. So he got his dream and I'm pretty pumped too. He was saying how good of a fit I would be, and he watches a lot of hockey, so I'm gonna take his word on it. I'm glad to be an Edmonton Oiler - it's pretty cool," said the 27-year-old, who posted career highs in games played (82), goals (18), assists (22) and points (40) last season before also tallying three goals and two helpers in 13 playoff games.

Frederic's injury addressed in Oilers debut-interview

The 27-year old forward suffered an injury with the Bruins on Feb. 25 against the Toronto Maple Leafs and is still sidelined, he spoke on the injury and addressed some pretty concerning info:
"I'm still kind of figuring out every day when I can get back," he said of the ailment sustained Feb. 25 vs. Toronto. "I haven't skated since the injury but hopefully can start skating here soon."

Frederic not skating since Feb. 25th is a true concern, and general manager Don Sweeney may have been aware of the impact it'll have on the young forwards play once returning.
While Frederic's future in the NHL is uncertain, Bruins fans grasp for a hopeful future in the trust of GM Don Sweeney.
