The Boston Bruins are ruining their own playoff hopes by continuing to lose games, and because of this, their odds of making it this year are pretty slim. For this reason the Boston Bruins have already started to sell as they traded both Trent Frederic and Max Jones to the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday, and the Bruins aren't expected to be done just yet.

For weeks now, Boston Bruins players like Morgan Geekie, Brandon Carlo, and Justin Brazeau have been involved in a bunch of trade rumours. However, now two new names have emerged as trade candidates for the Boston Bruins.
NHL insider David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period reported that the Boston Bruins have been getting offers for both Pavel Zacha and Charlie Coyle.
Zacha would be an ideal player for a Stanley Cup contender this year. The former 2015 first-round pick could boost a teams top six down the middle.
Another thing that makes Zacha appealing to contending teams is that he is signed up until the end of the 2026-27 season, with only a $4.75 million cap hit. Not bad for a top six center.
With Pavel Zacha being one of the top players on the Boston Bruins roster, they would probably expect to get a significant return for him. Zacha has been heating up at the right time, in his last 18 games, he has three goals and 17 points. This season he's recorded 12 goals, and 38 points in 63 games.
Coyle is a different story for the Boston Bruins. It will be harder for the Bruins to trade Charlie Coyle due to the fact he has a full no-movement clause. If he were to waive his NMC he would have a three-team no-trade list.
Coyle's contract also isn't the most appealing for teams. He would be a depth player on a contender and is carrying a hefty $5.25 million cap until the end of next season.
He is also having a down year this season. Last year, Coyle hit a career high in goals with 25 with the Bruins, and hit the 60 points mark as well. This season, he has just 15 goals, and 22 points while being a minus-14 in 63 games.
With this, his high cap hit, and struggles offensively suggest that he will not be moved, but Zacha has been generating a ton of serious interest.
