The Boston Bruins announced just before puck drop on Thursday night that forward Patrice Bergeron would be scratched from the lineup due to an "upper body injury".
Riley Nash took Bergeron's spot on the Bruins' top line, and the team put together a 3-1 win to take a 3-1 lead in their series against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Even though the Bruins are 12-5-2 this season without Bergeron in their lineup, they'd still prefer to have Bergeron in their lineup especially with the opportunity to eliminate the Maple Leafs.
Leafs center Nazem Kadri will be back for Game 5, will Bergeron?
Bergeron was on the ice skating on Friday which gives some hope for the Selke Trophy nominees return for Game 5.
Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy stated that they'll wait to see how he feels tomorrow and that they're "not ruling him out" for Game 5.
