Former NHL official Tim Peel is making headlines for all the wrong reasons, once again.

Peel was famously fired by the league in 2021 after he was caught by a hot mic saying he was unfairly looking for ''make-up'' calls.

Now, he's under fire again for allegedly ''berating'' youth officials, as he locked them in a room and threatened the minors. Sean Gentile of The Athletic shared the story:

''Peel had a reputation for paying visits to the referee's room, whether he'd been invited or not, the two teenaged officials said.''

''Peel followed McGlynn and Boren into the room, where for the next 15-20 minutes, he blocked the exit, ''berated'' them and threatened their jobs, the teenagers told The Athletic.''

The reported incident was shared earlier this week by retired player and referee Paul Stewart, where he explained that Peel berated two 17-year-old officials after a minor game. Peel allegedly asked the teenagers, ''do you know who I am?'', as a threat.

Since then, it has been announced that Peel received the following punishment. Gentile shared the following:

''Peel was eventually suspended from coaching for 30 days, despite not being a coach; barred from the referees' room for two years, despite not being a referee; and placed on probation for two years, but not prohibited from watching games from the stands, according to McGlynn, Boren and Missouri Ice Hockey Officials Association board member Andrew Bethmann.''

The two families of the teenagers have also begun pursuing legal action against Peel. More intriguing news regarding the disgraced former official will be coming out in the coming weeks.
