More specifically, to the bottom six forward group.
Jimmy Murphy of Boston Hockey Now recently shared an interesting quote from Cam Neely regarding the team's current mindset leading up to Friday's Trade Deadline:
'Tinker' is the perfect word to describe what Boston has left to do with the roster. Despite a potential record-breaking season, if this Boston team could never have enough depth.
Which Murphy also eluded to in his most recent report:
Domi, 28, will cost the most to acquire, as he's had a strong season in Chicago. He currently has 18 goals and 31 assists through 60 games.
Bjugstad, on the other hand, makes more sense for what the Bruins are looking for. The 6'6'', right-handed centre has 13 goals and 10 assists with the Coyotes this season.
Both Domi and Bjugstad would add some much needed depth scoring. Although Boston's bottom six isn't the worst in the league, you could argue it's the weakest area on the club.
There's no doubt that Sweeney will be as all in as a GM has. He just has to once again get creative with the current cap space.
