The Colorado Avalanche won game four in an overtime thriller. Nazem Kadri scored the game-winner in his first game since game three of the Western Conference Finals and 18 days since undergoing minor surgery to repair a broken thumb.
Here's the goal:
However, the goal is clouded by controversy, as a closer look at the goal shows that Colorado had 'too many men' when the overtime goal was scored.
Even the official NHL game sheet showed that the Avalanche had six players on the ice at the time.
The most telling evidence is the camera angle of Colorado's bench, which shows Nathan MacKinnon still on the ice (the guy Kadri was replacing), basically as Kadri is scoring the goal.
Lightning head coach Jon Cooper was seemingly upset after the game:
"It's hard for me. It's going to be hard for me to speak,» he said, holding up his hand. «I'll speak with you tomorrow. You're going to see what I mean when you see the winning goal.
«And my heart breaks for the players. Because we probably still should be playing. I'll be available tomorrow"
