The Boston Bruins have Joe Sacco to thank for turning the team around and giving them a chance to stay in the playoff hunt. But one player who has struggled despite the turnaround, is forward Trent Frederic, could he find a new home soon?

Frederic was expected to continue the progression that the team saw last year. Under Jim Montgomery, the forward posted 40 points, a career year for the former Bruins 1st-round pick.

And now, he's essentially ghosted the team and has only scored 11 points( 5 G, 6 A) in 39 games.

He has not scored a single point since a two-goal outing against the Philadelphia Flyers on December 7. The Bruins forward, who is a pending free agent, has just five goals and 11 points for Boston this season.

With the team failing to extend the pending free-agent in 2025, what could the Bruins get in return for Frederic?

Combine the secondary offense with the physical aspect of his game, and it's not surprising to see other teams interested in the Bruins forward.

Frederic's trade value is declining as his struggles continue. In saying this, so is the likelihood of an extension with Boston. Frederic works as a change of scenery candidate or as a potential depth option for a contending team.

While there will be a market for Frederic's skills, we could see him land in the Western Conference, as contending teams could steal him for depth talent on the roster.

Minnesota Wild

One of those teams could be the Minnesota Wild, who were one of the best teams in December with a 20-6-4 record last month.

Now, with Kirill Kaprizov out they will have to fight to maintain their position in the Central Division.

The Wild could look for some forward depth ahead of the 2025 NHL Trade Deadline. Adding Trent Frederic to the fold is one move general manager Bill Guerin could look to make. The Bruins forward adds a bit of physicality to the team's middle six. And he could reignite his offensive touch surrounded by a new group of teammates.

Ottawa Senators

With the Bruins' recent trade history with the Ottawa Senators, they could swap assets with the Sens for Frederic. The team sent Linus Ullmark there in the summer, and with his help, they hold the final wild-card spot in the East.

The Senators could use Frederic's physicality and edge to bolster the lineup, especially if they pair him with rat, Nick Cousins.
