Heading into their meeting against the New York Rangers, the Bruins announced some notable roster changes, but now Joe Sacco has made more changes mid-game after the Bruins have fallen behind 2-0 vs the Rangers.
Joe Sacco announced that Marc McLaughlin would be a healthy scratch for tonight's game, and in his place Oliver Wahlstrom would come back into the lineup.
To start the game Wahlstrom was placed on the fourth line with Johnny Beecher and Mark Kastelic.
Wahlstrom looked solid for the Bruins and nearly scored his first goal as a Boston Bruin after making a nasty move around a Rangers player, but ended up hitting the post.
Entering the second period, Wahlstrom would be promoted back to the third line where he has been playing since being acquired by the Bruins, and Sacco made other lineup moves as well.
David Pastrnak got moved up to the top line with Lindholm, and Marchand. Charlie Coyle got moved down to the second line with Morgan Geekie, and Pavel Zacha, and Koepke is now back on the fourth line with Wahlstrom being placed on the third line.
Here are the new lines after trailing by 2 goals:
This move quickly paid off for Joe Sacco and the Boston Bruins as David Pastrnak had a sweet feed to Elias Lindholm to give the Bruins some momentum.
