The Boston Bruins have officially lost a defenseman off the waiver wire according to NHL insider Elliotte Friedman.
The past couple of days have been busy for the Boston Bruins. Two days ago the Bruins announced the trade of Trent Frederic, sending him to the Edmonton Oilers, and they have been pretty busy since then.
With no extra healthy forwards available - and one or two possibly on the move - Lettieri and Tufte up with Boston
It was announced that the Boston Bruins recalled Ian Mitchell, Riley Tufte, Vinny Lettieri, and Patrick Brown from the Providence Bruins in the American Hockey League.
That didn't slow down the Bruins, they announced that Jordan Oesterle was being placed on waivers.

Unfortunately Elliotte Friedman confirmed that the Nashville Predators have claimed Oesterle off of waivers.

Oesterle has been a solid member on the blue line for the Boston Bruins. He's been filling in since Charlie McAvoy and Hampus Lindholm have been out with injuries, and losing him for free is a tough loss for the Boston Bruins.
