Colorado Avalanche and Boston Bruins Trade Incoming? Details Leaked And It's Huge For Boston

The Colorado Avalanche have a strong interest in multiple Bruins players at the moment. GM Chris McFarland seems to be serious about building a scrappy roster that can go deep in the playoffs.

He recently made a trade with the New York Rangers for defenseman Ryan Lindgren, and forward Jimmy Vesey.

Now, he looks to trade with another original-six squad the Boston Bruins. It seems that multiple Bruins players who have proven themselves successful in the past are on his radar.

That includes Brandon Carlo, Charlie Coyle, Andrew Peeke, Justin Brazeau, and possibly Morgan Geekie.

All depth Bruins players who have filled a role successfully in the past, or in the present. The majority of those players were on the team's roster during the President's Trophy run in 2022-20223( aside from Andrew Peeke).

Geekie could find his prime with the Colorado Avalanche and take off under Head Coach Jared Bednar.

For McFarland, it'd be smart, a low-buy-in and high reward if Geekie does find his footing in Avalanche territory.

While all the players mentioned above would be smart additions to an Avalanche lineup that is always missing its key players, there's nothing confirmed just yet.

But it appears now, that the doors are wide-open for a full retool of the Bruins team itself.

It'll be sad to see some of these players go, but the possibility of a solid return on Geekie or Coyle should be taken advantage of.
