On Tuesday, the Boston Bruins kicked off their retool just days ahead of the NHL trade deadline when they traded Trent Frederic, and Max Jones to the Edmonton Oilers, and the team has already made a shocking move with Jones.

Max Jones has spent the majority of the year in the American Hockey League when he was with the Boston Bruins, playing just seven games in the NHL, but it seems like the Edmonton Oilers are set to use him.
Edmonton added some depth players to their roster in the trade with the Boston Bruins, and it looks like they are going to throw them right into a game.
On Wednesday, the Oilers announced that Max Jones, and defenseman Cam Dineen have been recalled from the Bakersfield of the American Hockey League on an emergency basis.
Jones signed a two-year, $2 million contract in the off-season with the Boston Bruins, and he was apart of the deal that sent Trent Frederic over to the Edmonton Oilers. Jones did not fit in well with the Boston Bruins, and played just seven games before being placed on waivers.
He has been solid in the AHL for Providence scoring 13 goals, and eight assists for 21 points in 38 games. Throughout his career he has been a depth player, and if the Oilers do play him against the Canadiens on Thursday, he will more then likely be on the fourth line.

Oilers Make A Move With Trent Frederic

Trent Frederic suffered a lower-body injury leading up to the NHL trade deadline, and was considered week-to-week by the Boston Bruins.
This definitely played a part in the Bruins not getting the best return for him, but the Edmonton Oilers have also made a move with him.
With him being out at the moment, and the team needing to make room on their roster, the Edmonton Oilers placed Frederic on Injury Reserve.
There is no timeline for Frederic's return to NHL action, except that he is listed as week-to-week as of right now.
