ON THIS DAY: The infamous Zdeno Chara hit on Max Pacioretty

On this day in 2011, was one of biggest storylines from one of the longest rivalries took place at Bell Centre in Montreal.
It was the infamous �'turnbuckle'' hit by Bruins captain Zdeno Chara on forwaed Max Pacioretty of the Canadiens.
As Pacioretty chipped the puck past Chara in front of the benches, who in turn, was attempting to angle out the forward. Unfortunately, Pacioretty ran head first into the glass between each team's bench, causing immediate cause for concern in the arena.

Pacioretty would eventually be stretched off and was later diagnosed with a concussion and a broken vertebra, ending his season.
Chara received no further punishment from the league which cause major backlash from Pacioretty but more specifically the city. Montreal Police reportedly interviewed Chara and the incident was investigated.
