The NHL trade deadline is just around the corner and the Boston Bruins are expected to be buyers.
While we've mostly heard the team attached to forwards likeWayne Simmonds,Brayden Schenn and Vladimir Tarasenko, it's possible the team also decides to strengthen up their blueline.
When it comes to the hard grind of the playoffs, the top pairing of Zdeno Chara and Charlie McAvoy could definitely use some help at eating up minutes. A pairing like Torey Krug and Brandon Carlo might be better off as your third pairing and not second.
That's where a defenseman like Jake Muzzin could fit in.
Muzzin appears to be on the trade block and according to The Fourth Period, the Bruins are showing interest.
The 29 year old lefty has been one of the Kings most reliable defenseman over the last couple of years and comes with only a $4million dollar cap hit for this year and next.
He's solid both defensively and offensively as he's registered 40 points in three of the last four seasons.
Would you like to see Muzzin in the Bruins top 4?
