The Boston Bruins are holding onto first place in the Atlantic Division and sometimes you have to say they're pretty lucky.
While the Bruins' play has been exceptional, the team has dealt with injury problems since the start of the season.
Good news today was that Patrice Bergeron will be playing tonight, but head coach Bruce Cassidy also announced that Brett Ritchie is sidelined again with an infection.
The list of injured Bruins seems to be consistently featuring somebody and David Backes has been there for awhile.
Backes has missed the last eight games after the incident with ScottSabourin but it looks like things might be turning around.
The veteran forward was on the ice skating by himself in full gear today after team practice.
Still sounds like he's not ready, but he's at least trending up.
