Seattle Kraken and Colorado Avalanche did A Massive Trade Today
Earlier today, speculation arose about potential roster adjustments for the Seattle Kraken. As Friday evening unfolded, the Kraken indeed made a significant move, acquiring seasoned winger Tomas Tatar in a trade with the Colorado Avalanche. In exchange, Seattle sent a fifth-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft back to the Avalanche.
The team swiftly confirmed the transaction:
Tatar, aged 33, entered free agency as a sought-after player this season, opting for a one-year contract with the Avalanche in a late offseason signing on September 12, 2023. Across 27 games with Colorado, Tatar contributed with a goal and nine points, placing him tied for 10th in points on the team.
Notably, the veteran forward marked his 800th career game milestone on November 22 against Vancouver, adding a layer of experience to the Kraken's lineup.
