A major announcement was just made involving Boston Bruins superstar David Pastrnak following their game against the Ottawa Senators.
David Pastrnak since entering the New Year has been on fire for the Boston Bruins, and he continued that last night against the Ottawa Senators.
The Boston Bruins, although without their best goaltender, played one of their most complete games of the season yesterday against the Senators in a must win game.
Just hours before puck drop, Boston Bruins interim head coach Joe Sacco informed reporters that Jeremy Swayman would not be available for the game after suffering an injury.
With that being said, the Bruins had to recall Michael DiPietro from the Providence Bruins in the American Hockey League to serve as the backup to Joonas Korpislao.
Throughout the game David Pastrnak would pick up a goal and assist in the Bruins 2-0 win over the Ottawa Senators.
Following the game a major announcement was made regarding David Pastrnak.
On his assist he picked up on Morgan Geekie's goal in the second period, tied him with Marc Savard for the fourth-most six game assist streaks in Boston Bruins history.
And he only trails Ray Bourque, Bobby Orr, and Adam Oates for the most in Boston Bruins history.
David Pastrnak (0-1-1) tied Marc Savard (5) for the fourth-most six-game assist streaks in #NHLBruins history, behind Ray Bourque (15), Bobby Orr (10), and Adam Oates (6).
The Bruins are now turning their attentions to the Colorado Avalanche who they are set to face on Saturday.
