Boston Bruins are set to land the biggest free agent
The Boston Bruins are set to land the biggest free agent this offseason.
Now that the Vancouver Canucks season is over, all eyes are going to be on recently acquired forward Elias Lindholm.
Lindholm didn't look to mesh well with the Canucks at first, but he played much better with the team during the playoffs. Given this it is possible the Canucks offer Lindholm a contract but ultimately the choice is up to him.
There was a lot of talk during the season that Lindholm was going to test free agency this offseason and that is a good possibility.
The Boston Bruins were linked to him during the trade deadline but ultimately didn't want to overpay if they could have a chance at getting him in free agency.
Lindholm free agent destinations
Don Sweeney stated today that the Boston Bruins are going to be aggressive this year, and this would be a good chance for him. If Lindholm hits free agency, it wouldn't be a surprise if Don Sweeney made a push to acquire him.
