Heading into the off-season there was bound to be a bunch of changes coming for the Toronto Maple Leafs and they have made multiple changes to their coaching staff including adding a former Boston Bruin to their coaching staff.
The Maple Leafs originally started by firing Sheldon Keefe not long after being eliminated from the playoffs, and hired Craig Berube shortly after.
It was announced yesterday that the Toronto Maple Leafs have officially hired Marc Savard to join Berube's coaching staff as an assistant coach, who will be replacing Guy Boucher.
There have been a lot of rumours that have tied the Toronto Maple Leafs to Marc Savard, and talks started to heat up when the Flames and Savard agreed to part ways from each other.
The Toronto Maple Leafs are looking to improve their power play after struggling against the Boston Bruins in the playoffs, which ultimately lead to them being eliminated, and they hope Savard is the right guy for that.
