The city of Boston saw their beloved Bruins take home some hardware including the new head coach Jim Montgomery.
Patrice Bergeron won his sixth Selke for his tremendous defence as a forward, along with Linus Ullmark taking home his first Vezina trophy, awarded to the best goalie in the regular season, and finally the Bruins head coach won the Jack Adams Award, which is handed out to the best coach throughout the regular season.
The Bruins saw 2 players walk away with hardware but it was almost 4.
David Pastrnak was in attendance for the event, but lost out on both the Hart Trophy and Ted Lindsay Award to Edmonton Oilers superstar Connor McDavid.
But he wasn't the only Bruins player to come up short. Bruins defenseman Hampus Lindholm had a surprising finish in the Norris Trophy voting.
Lindholm had 12 first-place votes to take the fourth spot in the polling for the award, which went to San Jose Sharks star Erik Karlsson for the third time in his career. New York Rangers defenseman Adam Fox and Colorado Avalanche Cale Makar finished off the top 3.
This is the highest Lindholm has ever placed in the Norris voting. The only other time he received votes was in his third season in his career with the Anaheim Ducks coming in 17th place.
The 29-year-old blueliner turned in a more than solid campaign in his first full season in Boston. Recoring 10 goals and 43 assists in 80 games and also led the entire NHL with a plus-49 rating. Lindholm was a crucial part in Boston's terrific defence, making the goalies lives a lot easier.
Many Bruins fans expected Charlie McAvoy to be in the conversation again this year, he finished top 10 in Norris voting each of the last three seasons, but instead Lindholm got the spot light earning the votes.
