Bruins Head Coach Confirms Trent Frederic Won't Be Moved
Montgomery has made it clear that there won't be a shift for Trent Frederic to center, as some might have thought.
Instead, he plans to keep Frederic in his current role on the right wing. Montgomery's reasoning is that Frederic's style of play, which covers both offensive and defensive aspects, is most effective in the wing position.
The team is relying on him to contribute in the lower lines.
This decision implies that Morgan Geekie, a free agent signing, could step in to take on the third-line center position, positioned right behind Zacha and Coyle. Geekie played an average of 10 minutes and 27 seconds per game with the Seattle Kraken last season.
