Bruins Network reveals the Boston Bruins may kick this player to the curb
Tyler Johnson spent the last two seasons with the Chicago Blackhawks and vowed to find a contender to play for when free agency began.
However, he remained unsigned up until the Boston Bruins invited him to a training camp on a PTO.
Needless to say, fans weren't convinced and neither is the Bruins Network:
He is seen primarily as a depth add, on a Bruins team who despite their lack of it prior to Johnson's arrival fought their way into the NHL post-season.
Just shy of a berth to the Eastern Conference Finals. With Matthew Potras, Georgii Merkulov, and Fabian Lysell available, will John find himself with a job after camp or will he be a future Providence Bruin?
Either way, it's difficult to see where he can be an addition, maybe on the 3rd line if he does beat Lysell or Poitras in camp.
Johnson is a two-time Stanley Cup Champion and arrived in Chicago after the Brandon Hagel trade.
