Bruins Player Clears The Air About Not Wanting To Be In Boston
In a surprising turn of events, the 27-year-old winger not only took responsibility for his mistake but also emphasized his deep pride in being a part of the Boston Bruins.
This statement seems to dispel any notions that DeBrusk might be dissatisfied, particularly given recent indications from various sources about stalled contract negotiations with the Bruins. General manager Don Sweeney confirmed that discussions are ongoing, but it appears that genuine bargaining has yet to commence.
The delay in negotiations could be attributed to the Bruins' desire to assess DeBrusk's performance without the presence of now-retired centers David Krejci and Patrice Bergeron.
In light of DeBrusk's recent performance, both on and off the ice, he appears more than willing to prove his worth. Unlike almost two years ago when he requested a trade, DeBrusk now firmly expresses his desire to remain a part of the Bruins and is committed to doing so.
