As they prepare for the upcoming season following their extraordinary performance in 2022-23, the Black and Gold organization will first commemorate their centennial anniversary as a team. They have announced that they will create an All-Centennial Team, consisting of the 100 greatest players ever to wear a Bruins jersey.
To determine the members of this prestigious team, a committee of 30 individuals appointed by the organization will participate in the selection process. This diverse committee includes respected figures such as NESN's Steve Garabedian, Rose Mirakian-Wheeler, Brian Zechello, and retired broadcaster Dale Arnold, along with representatives from other media outlets.
The final All-Centennial Team will consist of 20 exceptional players, comprising 12 forwards, six defensemen, and two goaltenders, all handpicked by the committee.
The Bruins have set a date to unveil the highly anticipated All-Centennial Team. On October 12, during the Centennial Gala, the team will be officially introduced to the public. Additionally, in September, the Bruins will release the "Historic 100" list, providing further recognition to the significant players who have contributed to the team's legacy.
