Terrifying Scene: NHL Prospect Stretchered Off The Ice Following Scary Incident
A scary scene surfaced tonight during an OHL game as a Columbus Blue Jackets prospect was stretchered off the ice.
Promising Columbus Blue Jackets prospect Ole Julian Bjorgvik was stretchered off the ice tonight as the Cleveland Monsters faced off against the Belleville Senators.
The 22-year-old NHL prospect who stands at 6'3", is a promising prospect for the Coumbus Blue Jackets, and was just involved in a scary collision with Belleville Senators forward Hayden Hodgson, and now has the potential to change the outcome of his career.
Bjorgvik was drafted by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2020 NHL draft, but he has had a rough time finding his game and getting a full time role with a pro hockey organization whether that be the AHL, ECHL, and or the NHL.
This year, he has found his footing with the Columbus Blue Jackets American Hockey League affiliate, the Cleveland Monsters, but now is facing a potential scary set back.
During the game tonight, he was involved in the scary collision and was unable to leave on his own feet and had to be stretchered off the ice.
Hayden Hodgson, the player who through this hit was ejected from the game, and a fan captured the moment that Bjorgvik was stretchered off the ice and described it as a 'horrifying' scene.
Belleville's 42 given a five minute major penalty for boarding and a game misconduct.
Hodgson has made a name for himself in the AHL, but is nothing more then a AHL hockey player, and he tallies over 100 penalty minutes every season.
