It didn't take long after winning gold for the Czechia star to call out Gary Bettman and the NHL. David Pastrnak was upset with them when the announced the Four Nations tournament that will be held next year in Montreal and Boston.
Teams included in the tournament will be Canada, USA, Sweden and Finland. After winning gold at the IIHF World Championships David Pastrnak sent a message to the NHL and Gary Bettman stating, "Maybe Four Nation invite now".
Team Czechia went out and proved a point to Bettman and the NHL that they are good enough to compete with the top nations in the world.
You knew the Four Nations snub was a big motivator for David Pastrnak and the rest of Team Czechia at the World Championships. He was understandably pissed about it when it was announced by the NHL. Pushed them all the way to a gold medal in front of the home crowd in Prague 🥇

If the NHL decides to do this tournament again, they may have to reconsider sending Czechia an invite next time as they proved them wrong this year after upsetting Team USA and Team Sweden on their way to win gold.
