He re-joined the Monsters in October and spent the majority of the season in the minors. To which he appeared in 46 games with the Monsters, scoring a career-high 19 goals in the AHL, totaling 39 points.
In his 24 appearances in the NHL this season with the Blue Jackets he only scored four points. The last time Gaunce spent this long in the NHL, was during the 2021-2022 season where he appeared in 30 games and scored seven points.
Gaunce had been on the NHL roster with the Jackets since March and will re-join the Monsters who are in the Eastern Conference Finals of the Calder Cup Playoffs.
